The early start we had from Jackson's Retreat made me wish I had perhaps not stayed yesterday but kept moving. One of those winter rains and fog had dropped in. But the nice news was by the time we got to Arthurs Pass and over on the east side of the Alps it was a sunny day. One of the local Kea immediately flew in to settle on top of the maui and then on the car next to us.
The sky was blue and the roads clear (well almost except for an occasional slip that landed on the road) all the way to our next stop - the Geraldine Holiday Park in one of my favourite towns.
