The bucket list of adventure
One of the most exciting and most scenic areas of New Zealand. I can still remember my first experience here 25 years ago it was so dramatic. To slide through the fjord and realize how gigantic everything is when you get next to it and how impossible it is to see any indentation in the mountains from out in the Tasman Sea............Capt Cook didn't.........
The drive from Te Anau into Milford Sound is one of the most scenic drives in the world in my opinion with the drive down through the Homer Tunnel. Then the route below the tunnel.
We were on the Jucy bus that had started the day in Queenstown and driven by Ian who kept us constantly informed about what we were experiencing. I thought I know a lot about the area but his commentary really filled in a lot I wasn't aware of.
This is a top area also of those of you who wish to enjoy the walks of New Zealand and another way is to take the bus in and fly back out to Queenstown...........
We boarded in Te Anau since we were staying there at my favourite holiday park - Great Views Holiday Park

Here are some of the many photos taken today. It rained going in but after the Homer Tunnel it was all sunshine.
Waterfalls were everywhere.
