In my visit to Mercury Bay and the many artist and craftspeople I was so fortunate to get to meet personally (looking to visit more)
I was able to enjoy the area as I drove around. It had been a few years since I spent any real time in the Coromandel and I never
stopped very long in this area. What a loss on my part. I knew it was beautiful and special now I am convinced. Finding small communities of wonderful positive people, beaches far from the crowds, wonderful slow drives through the countryside and paying attention to the world around me................what a treat............
One very basic need and always a goal when I am anywhere is locating and checking out cafes and restaurants. Some of these I had been to in the past while others were a surprise................I mean a good coffee and/or a great pub meal is pure heaven to me.
Boy do I love New Zealand and its people.............here are a few photos. When I create personal itineraries for visitors this is what I strive to point out over and beyond the expected glorious world of this Kiwi paradise.
