When we hit the Mackenzie Country it was raining and by the time we got to the Mt Cook area the weather had set in big time. One of the most beautiful views in the world was hidden behind a grey mask of stubborn clouds that wouldn't let go.
We went on though to stop by the Glentanner Holiday Park to check in and then on to the world famous Hermitage to grab a bite to eat before settling in for the night and to check to see if the boat ride to the glacier in the morning had been cancelled with Glacier Explorers. (but it wasn't see below)

Back to Glentanner hoping the next day would be better than today..... weather wise.............
and so we woke up to a beautiful sunrise as a day's beginning.................
and the rest of the day was superb..................
