So you want to know about the Maori culture? There is only one place in my book and that is Rotorua and the Tamiki Maori Village .
From the time they pick you up by bus where you are stayting to when they return you you will be entertained....the bus drivers are wonderful as they explain everything and make sure everyone is a part of the whole. By the way as a warning - you will be asked to sing a song from your homeland on the return bus ride so get one ready now...
Rachel and I climbed aboard at the Rotorua Thermal Park and was transferred to the main office in Rotorua before boarding the bus that would take us to the village.
From the moment you enter until you leave totally stuffed with the fabulous food they have prepared at the hangi,
traditionally cooked under ground, you will truly enjoy every minute of your time here.
I advise 100% of my itinerary clients to make sure they go to the Tamiki Village for the real deal...............
