The adventure continues with our flight to Christchurch, pick up our Jucy rental car
and off to the beautiful interior of the South Island, the Mackenzie Country.............
one of my top choices to visit but first the "do not miss" Antarctic Centre.

A quick stop at the giant salmon at Rakaia that represents New Zealand's quality river salmon fishing
then south on route one with the Southern Alps dominating the view west.
We take the interior route through Geraldine and on to the Mackenzie Country. Usually like to stop in Geraldine but today we must hurry on.........
Along the roads the colourful lupins were still in bloom.
Our first stop was at Lake Tekapo where the robin egg blue coloured glacial water always provides such a pleasant view with the old stone church sitting on the edge fo the lake and the statue to the ever faithful hard working sheep dog.
